Dr. Hawkins is an internationally known spiritual teacher, author, and speaker on the subject of advanced spiritual states, consciousness research, and the Realization of the Presence of God as Self. His published works, as well as recorded lectures, have been widely recognized as unique in that a very advanced state of spiritual awareness occurred in an individual with a scientific and clinical background.

Author of more than eight books, including the bestseller Power vs. Force, Dr. Hawkins’s work has been translated into more than 17 languages. In the 1970s, he co-authored Orthomolecular Psychiatry with Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling, revolutionizing the field of psychiatry. Dr. Hawkins has lectured at Westminster Abbey, the Oxford Forum, the University of Argentina, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Harvard. He has also served as advisor to Catholic, Protestant, and Buddhist monasteries. Winner of the Huxley Award, knighted by the Sovereign Order of the Hospitaller of St. John of Jerusalem, nominated for the Templeton Prize, and honored in the East with the title Tae Ryoung Sun Kak Tosa (“Foremost Teacher of the Way to Enlightenment”), Dr. Hawkins’s work continues to have a profound impact on humankind.

Dr. Hawkins developed and thoroughly tested the Map of Consciousness showing different emotions and the level of consciousness they represent. He found a means by using Kinesiology to calibrate a scale of relative truth by which intellectual positions, statements, or ideologies could be rated on a range of 1 to 1,000. He has calibrated thousands of people, historical events, religions, countries, etc. All research was repeated over and over with the same results and documented.

Dr. Hawkins has had several intense spiritual experiences including more than one near death experience. He talked to no one about these experiences for years, gave up his successful practice in New York, gave away all his professional books and moved out west and lived a very simple life for many years before he was able to continue with his new life.
