Pythagoras
Pythagoras was born around 570 B.C. in Samos, Greece and died around 495 B.C in Metapontum, Italy. Flower A. Newhouse shared that Pythagoras was a Master who founded a mystery school in Delphi, Greece and then later in Croton, Italy. This Greek philosopher, scientist, and spiritual teacher developed a school of thought that taught reincarnation and many influential mathematical and philosophical theories.
Two groups developed within His school. One emphasized the mathematical and scientific part of the teachings and the other represented the mystical religious teachings. In 460 B.C .resentment built up against the secrecy and exclusiveness of these Pythagoreans and all their meeting places were burned and destroyed, with at least 50 members killed in Croton, Italy alone.

Insight into His Teachings
It is difficult to distinguish Pythagoras's teachings from those of His disciples. His followers cited their Master's authority. Pythagoras is credited with the significance of numbers in music to the objective world. He is also credited for the Pythagorean theorem. Pythagoras Himself was a mystic and had much mystical wisdom, which proved more vital than the bulk of His intellectual tradition.
