Messiah is the greatest music ever composed for the Lord Christ.Flower A. Newhouse
Handel was born in Halle, Germany on February 23, 1685. His father forbade him to own or play musical instruments, however his mother supported her son's musical interests and found ways for young George to develop his talent. At 18, despite his father's objections, Handel decided to devote the rest of his life to music.
George Frideric Handel composed operas, oratorios and instrumentals. His 1741 work, Messiah, is among the most famous oratorios in history.
Handel is a well known mystic.Flower A. Newhouse, The Quest
Handel eventually moved to London, where he would perform for royalty and continue his many compositions. He died in London in 1759.
Flower has said that whenever the Messiah is sung, golden sunbursts emanate from the music. Angel Hosts of the astral and mental worlds join the human chorus, and their accompaniment is 1,000 times more joyous and victorious than the human parts. The outpourings of the Hallelujah Chorus are turned completely toward the Lord Christ. The love, praise, and devotion which radiate from this chorus to Him is said to be one of man's purest tributes to the Christ.
