Flower A. Newhouse reminds us that truth cannot be fully expressed until it is properly digested and assimilated, intellectually and spiritually. Various spiritual techniques are needed to process truth and find their application in our lives. This course looks at several such techniques and encourages a lifelong study to discover new ones that can deepen our spiritual walk.
This class is part of a Lenten series of classes based on a book by Flower A. Newhouse entitled Armor for the Spiritual Life. It includes one lesson on The Armor of Spiritual Techniques.
This course is open to anyone. If you wish to receive credit for this class, you'll be required to complete all aspects of the lesson including Study, Experience, Practice and Share.

Bryce Isaac has been a student of the Christward Ministry all his life. He finds that the study of esoteric truths deepens his contemplation on the mysteries of life and his relationship with Christ. While he grew up at Questhaven, he had the unique opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the ministry. Currently, he enjoys participating and conducting as needed the voice and handbell choir. He earned his degree from the University of Santa Cruz as a language major with an emphasis in German. His interests take him into all levels linguistics and the history of language itself.
Reverend Blake Isaac grew up on the grounds of Questhaven. He is a life-long student of the founder of this retreat, the Reverend Flower A. Newhouse. This unique opportunity provided him rare insight into both the mystical and practical aspects of her work. Blake's career in education has included teaching math and serving as principal in a local school district. He is currently the Director of Questhaven Retreat and The Christward Ministry. A teacher and lecturer at heart, his greatest love comes in sharing the spiritual journey with others.
