Walk in His Footsteps
Tel Aviv offered a beautiful start to the journey offering each to relax in the waters or stroll down to Old Jaffa or Carmel market. We stayed at the Dan Panorama Hotel, which offered a good location to visit all of these sites.

Tel Aviv
With a beautiful 2.5 km boardwalk along the Mediterranean, Tel Aviv is the economic centre in Israel. It was founded in 1909 as a Jewish garden suburb of the ancient Mediterranean port of Jaffa (now Yafo), with which it was joined in 1950.
Mediterranean Sea
The Tel Aviv beach stretches for ages along the whole western edge of the city. This sparkling coastline has a little bit of everything and activities for each season. They offer welcoming sun umbrellas and lounge chairs along the sandy shoreline for passerbys to stop and enjoy the beaches and sun. We found the climate very similar to southern California so the beaches here are enjoyable well past summer.
While the water was a little chilly for me in November, lots of people braved the cold and enjoyed swimming and playing in the water. I did make sure to dip my toes in the water though.
