Cilarae (kih LAIR eye)
Serving the Nature Realm of Air
Air devas who are responsible for rain storms love excitement, revel in the power of these storms and joyfully ride the air currents. When these devas advance to the next upward step in evolution, they enter the rank of Angelhood becoming Angels of the Wind. One such order are the Cilarae who function through trade winds, equatorial winds and other winds that are in such constant motion resembling rivers of air.
Cilarae are Sentinels—steadfast watchers of these unceasing streams.
Reverend Flower A. Newhouse, Kingdom of the Shining Ones
These beings range in size from 8 to 10 feet when standing upright. However, Cilarae are most often observed in a swimming or diving position moving through the air rivers they supervise and managing steadfast air currents that are caused by the earth's rotation. Sometimes traveling 3,000 miles or more to reach a destination, they return to their home region for renewal and repose. These Angels of the air realm are in charge of younger orders in their care, including the zephyrs and sylphs. In times of storms the younger beings are sent out of the disturbed territories leaving only advanced Angels to deal with serious storms. Flower suggests that if we will be traveling by airplane we might pray to God for help from the Cilarae for a smooth flight.
