The Value of Knowing There Are Angels

435-1 Sunday 09/27/1970

Lecture by Flower A. NewhouseIn this informative talk on the Angels, we discover the multitudes that there are, from Angels of Birth and Angels of Death, to Angels of Nature and Angels of the Christ's Presence. We could never exhaust the types of Angels that there are and with every new season that comes, we realize more deeply and more joyously how wonderful it is to be granted one more insight into an activity of an Angelic Presence we had never even surmised existed before. We learn the importance of honoring the Angels and that their capacity to love is far greater than anything we humans can comprehend, especially that of our Guardian Angels. Angels are infinitely wise, and they have a love for creation that is almost incomprehensible to us. For that reason they can serve so nobly, so daringly, and so purely.

Glory of Angelhood

Astonishing beauty enfolded in color mists, and only the face, head and throat, the hands and sometimes arms, and the feet are visible. The rest is like a cloud of light about them. According to their degree of unfoldment and also their specific way of serving will the great Angels have a color aura. An Angel's eyes are very large. More orders than we can imagine, working for the world. Flower describes many of these orders: Elohim; national, state and city Angels; Angels of Time, Years, Centuries, Seasons; Angels of North, South, East, West; Planetary Angels at chakras; Solar Angels; St Michael and Warrior hosts; Angels in charge of animals; many more.

Michaelmas and Angelic Hierarchies

565-1 Sunday 09/29/1974

Lecture by Flower A. NewhouseThe Angels are more involved with man than he is conscious of. The more devotional, the more selfless, the more trustworthy, the more truthful you are, the more they will be inclined to come close to you and to help you.

The Great Reality of Angels

590-2 Sunday 09/28/1975

Lecture by Flower A. NewhouseWhen persons find that Angels are realities, they usually come with such surprise to the finding! Early Christian fathers tell about visitation of the Angels in times of prayer and again at junctures of crisis. These Great Ones are still, as they have been all through the centuries, with us. They are Intelligences of an older order of life, much older than human beings. Because of that They are wiser and stronger, and for that reason They are entrusted with duties to help the Christ Cause. There is no selfishness in Angels, there is no ego. There is only obedience and immediate changing of Themselves when necessary for a larger good to come through. They are patient and devoted; their spirituality is pure. Their creativity is tremendous, and always inspiring. One keynote above every other virtue is great joyousness.

Angels Express the Glory of God

667-2 Sunday 10/01/1978

Lecture by Flower A. NewhouseDiscusses various ranks of Angels and their titles and mentions the different responsibilities and powers the various ranks of Angels wield. Although mankind is largely indifferent to knowledge of the Angels, currently there is a trend toward more realization and appreciation of their reality. Examples are given of persons who had encounters with Angels; though they did not actually see the Angels, they saw the Angels' light surrounding them. Angels rarely enter human incarnation but when they do, their powers are diminished and the human bodies they wear are unwieldy. A few who have incarnated are composers Cesar Franck and Mozart, as well as Joan of Arc. By contrast, devas come into incarnation more frequently. Humans are never out of the observation of Angels.

More about the Angels

770-1 Sunday 09/26/1982

Lecture by Flower A. NewhouseAngels are everywhere and more numerous than the human kingdom. The Bible has 295 references to Angels. The Council of Nicea in the 4th century struck out far more material from the Bible than is now available. At that time they felt that subject of Angels was so glorious and great that if it was too emphasized in Christianity, that people would not honor the Christ as much as they do. The churches leave out an emphasis of the Angel kingdom. This leaves a great gap between God and Christ, and all of the Aspects of Divinity. There must be something in between! Angels are messengers from God. Flower describes the appearance of Angels at Michaelmas and mentions St. Patrick, Mortimer Adler, Dionysius, and Thomas Aquinas on the Angels.

874-2 Sunday 09/28/1986

Lecture by Flower A. NewhouseOrthodox churches may mention but don't teach about Angels. Angels are a glorious order. They are so much higher, their purity, goodness, love and self-giving is in what they are and do for those they serve. God wanted man and the creatures to be cared for, and very lovingly. Angels were given charge of caring for us. Whoever hasn't seen an Angel or loved one, is very impoverished. Flower describes several different orders of Angels and their interactions with men, animals, other needs. Angels of healing, of love, of initiation, of time, of transformation, of guardianship, of protection, of destiny, and many others. Angels are desirous of helping people understand what it is they are to know; to realize that they should improve their relationships; to know that they can be stronger than they are. There's no mother's love, no teacher's love, no child's love, that can ever compare to your Guardian Angel's love. Wherever you go, you will be protected.
