Walk in His Footsteps

The Sea of Galilee offers many sites that help one connect to our Lord. It has a much more 6th ray feel than other places of Israel that we visited. Magdala Retreat Center typifies this and became our home base for five nights while we explored the area.

Magdala

Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene, was a prosperous fishing village at the time Jesus was present. It is situated on the shore of the Sea of Galilee between Tiberias and Capernaum. If one were to walk from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee, they would arrive at Magdala. This is the way Jesus would have walked.
