The Courts of the Faithful
098-2 Sunday 11/09/1958
Most important trait for those who love God is the quality of faithfulness to God. Mystics have to explain things in such a way that the heart understands. They have robust righteousness, indomitable integrity, unflinching, uncompromising in what they consider to be right. They demonstrate self-commitment of utter humility. Mystics are full of the romance of beauty. Extensive info on Evelyn Underhill and William James.
Characteristics of Initiates
106-1 Sunday 02/01/1959
Flower discusses many of the spiritual giants who have been among us. We can best understand these souls if we realize that they too have been human, but have evolved slowly and purposefully and meaningly into the hierarchal places to which they were appointed by the Divine decider of all things. Qualities required of initiates include simplicity, self-surrender, humility, reverence, courage, generosity, lifting. Initiates avoid excess, maintain balance, avoid spiritual absorption and selfishness. Enlightened ones come in with fresh interpretation of Truth. True initiates have no egotism, no superiority to force on others, but does hold true to what he knows, and will defend that, even against death.
The Path of the Masters
116-1 Sunday 08/23/1959
This talk illustrates the evolutionary path of perfection by introducing us to the existence and service of the great hierarchy of perfected beings known as Masters. One need not have direct contact with Them to become aware of Them. One needs only to be sensitively alert and receptive, and desirous of knowing Truth. Masters can reveal to us what we are in the process of becoming. These Great Souls have all the virtues of character raised to its highest strength. They have outgrown earth.
The Reality of the Christ Hierarchy
121-1 Sunday 12/13/1959
Emmanuel means God with us and it refers to the spiritual title given to this soul who also bore the name of Jesus when he became spiritually of age and took upon Himself the mantle of the Christ. We should call Him by the spiritual title. Our Lord was human, but He more quickly had the power of excellence, that supreme ability to surrender himself, and to give himself to that which is higher than anyone else that has evolved through the earth. There are many perfected souls; that option is open to all, and all are evolving toward it. Before the Lord Emmanuel, the Lord Maitreya was the Christ of our planet. Our Lord is the supreme officiant of humanity. Reading of Flower's favorite excerpts from the Gospel According to Thomas. Past lives of Jesus as Joshua, David, and Ikhnaton. Jesus as Lord and Master.
Realizing the Importance of Masters
137-1 Sunday 09/18/1960
There are many levels of intelligence and spiritual unfoldment represented amongst humanity and all its peoples. There have been souls who have risen from the earth's training, who have reached the first flowering, the great budding of wholeness as it pertains to this dimension. They are the perfected sons and daughters of life. We know that Osiris, Ikhnaton, and our Lord Christ, the Buddha, Lao Tzu. Confucius, Pythagoras, Quetzcoatl and many others have achieved a masterhood of intelligence, of character, of spiritual development, of mastery over their physical vehicles. When you see a Holy One, you will never be content until you yourself are complete.
The Communion of the Holy Assembly
155-1 Sunday 06/25/1961
The Reverend Flower Newhouse speaks of the more advanced orders of life which serve God and are yearning to be contacted by us and of our need to stretch our souls toward them to climb in consciousness. Explaining that Christianity has borrowed traditions from the older Jewish faith including from the esoteric portion of the Kabbalah called the Zohar, she discusses the advanced orders of Angels, Adepts, Masters and the Ancient of Days and Silent Watcher which are equivalent to the Logi.
The Staff of the Illumined
221-2 Sunday 04/21/1963
Perfected souls came with powerful inspiration. Their words have been recorded down to our present day. They have a message for us which shall outlast this planet's lifetime. When we consider what a soul undergoes in the journey of evolution through this human way, we know that the human career begins at the stage of individualization. There is a long vast journey of growth and unfoldment, and then at last the first degree of initiation, or rebirth, is achieved. When this stage comes, man becomes a part of a larger order. He becomes a member of the Great White Brotherhood, and he serves no longer his own unfoldment, but the development of the world. Then there is a later stage, of the fifth initiation, when the human evolution ceases, and the superhuman evolution begins.
God Within and God Unfolded
234-1 Sunday 10/20/1963
Man is beginning to recognize that they are more than body and a spirit. We are a septenary or seven-fold being, and that because we are seven-fold, we have much to do in overcoming as well as raising and enhancing of these powers that belong to our inner nature. Describes the attributes of our lower quadrate (physical, etheric, astral, mental bodies) and higher triad (soul, adonai, monad), as well as the symbols, characteristics and terminology of our higher bodies. Descriptions of initiates and masters. Compares God inherent and potential with actualized and unfolded.
Psychic Conditions We Must Overcome
242-1 Sunday 02/16/1964
We possess seven senses, two of which are affiliated with the inner side of our beings. Inner unfoldment of higher traits was given to the disciples. Flower referenced the book Realms of the Living Dead. Augusta Curtis shared with Flower meeting with an aviator who just lost his life in battle. Flower discusses the unwise use of an ouija board. It is possible while still in physical bodies to tune in to the Hall of Learning, Hall of Wisdom or Lodge of Masters.
290-2 Sunday 10/10/1965
Biographical information on various remarkable people. Thomas Paine, a 4th degree initiate, much maligned genius with many talents and interests who greatly helped American revolution. Thomas Jefferson was remarkable, close to mastership, with many varied talents and author of much of the Declaration of Independence. Henry Ford was another transformer, in a practical sense. Gives examples of ordinary people as power transformers. The essence of Christianity itself is to see where we may serve, to see how Christ can use us to lighten the load of someone else.
Understanding the Seven Rays
298-2 Sunday 02/06/1966
This lecture explains in detail each of the seven rays and their importance in our lives in understanding both ourselves and others. Flower describes the colors, symbols, Masters, and teaching adepts of each ray as well as giving examples of well-known persons, group organizations and religions for the seven rays. She explains that we have 3 rays influencing our lives: our main ray, sub-ray and finally the ray that affects us on the physical level only-that of our zodiacal sign. All of these rays help to balance our personality selves.
Adepts of the West
302-1 Sunday 03/27/1966
Flower discusses adepts, initiates, masters and esoteric groups throughout history, concentrating on those of the western world. After discussing Manes, the Paraclete, and Manicheaism, she indicates various ways that inner truths were disseminated, including various Orders of chivalry, troubadours, bards, guilds, and lists famous alchemists and instructors. She lists many inner Orders and notes that we potentially or actually, are serving these Orders whose vows we keep and radiate in living.

This is an intimate talk where Flower shares personally how she receives guidance from the Great Ones as well as the Lord Christ's appearance to her in the mountains.
The Glorious Necessity of Balance
329-2 Sunday 05/21/1967
In this insightful talk, we are given ideals to strive toward that will help us achieve balance in our lives. This is not only important for our physical existence here on earth, but as Flower explains, 'The great Masters, those who are perfected men and women, will accept no pupil who is not balanced, and this is because an individual who is balanced has control on every level in which he is interested. For that reason, then, we need interest and achievement on every level of our seven-fold nature, so that we may be able to be at peace and at home on the different planes of consciousness as we precipitate in this wonderful mystery of balance.'
Hail to Those Who have Achieved Mastership
397-1 Sunday 08/03/1969
Masters choose one of these areas of service: help humanity; enter spirit of Everlasting God-blending into or melting into God; or enter into Nirvana for total contemplation, meditation and prayer. There are councils throughout different seasons of our year. Major festivals in which Masters, Lords and Logi meet to celebrate and to hold a baptism for this solar system.
The Hierarchy of Great Souls Made Perfect in God: The Masters
469-1 Sunday 08/15/1971
Describes perfected beings that still have any connection with humanity; their functions and locations in inner worlds. Inner hierarchy has its seat in Shamballa; led by the Christ; different masters serve in different areas such as government, education, healing, arts, science and religion. Angel Hierarchy also exists, led by the Angel King, works with weather, elements, rising of continents, life on earth through nature. These two hierarchies meet and mingle, that is, their leaders may confer in council. Each, knowing the intentions of the other, can do much better in his own sphere of service.
The Persistent Challenge toward Spiritual Maturity
471-1 Sunday 09/12/1971
In this talk, we are reminded that our goal as humanity is to become spiritually mature. In other words, to become masters. Flower says that spiritual maturity is being master-like. It is working upon the achievement of masterhood. It is taking up hour by hour, and day after day, our individual life work, which is the development and the unfoldment of spirituality, depth in consciousness, the improvement of intelligence, and a greater self-giving towards our world.
The World Mothers Influence on Earth
479-1 Sunday 11/14/1971
Explains the Greatness of Mary's Soul, her incarnation on Earth, and her Divine Work for humanity. Describes her great role in Christianity and Her present work on the inner planes which is that of comforting and expressing mercy, of living love, of raising the standard of femininity in the world. Indicates the importance of recognition of the divine feminine principle by religious faiths, and, explains that some faiths are more evolved in this area than others. Describes various personas of the Divine Mother that serve in Her Work, and who are recognized by religions. An example of this is Kwan Yin in China.
Masters and Their Lessons: Disciplines of the Holy Quest Class (7 of 14)
480-2 Sunday 12/05/1971
The Hierarchy of Perfected Souls and The Master Mary
613-1 Sunday 08/15/1976
Masterhood is described, the completion of human evolution. In 1950 there was such an outflow of instruction and benediction from the Masters, the veils were very thin for about 10 years. Speaks of Life of Jesus. Mary in Palestine was 4th degree initiate, well-prepared; temple training. Parents were associated with Essenes. Describes family of Jesus. Good relationship with Joseph, both initiates. Of Joseph's 3 sons, 1 daughter James the Lesser was Flower's favorite. Immaculate Conception and Assumption discussed. Upon Masterhood, Mary chose her mission. Today she is considered to be the feminine exponent of Divinity, along with Kwan Yin, who is a master of the far East.
Masters are a Great Reality
640-2 Sunday 09/11/1977
Every kingdom is endeavoring to be perfected. Only about 240 humans have reached mastership so far. Masters have choice of where and how to serve. Many wish to remain in contemplation, working on the inner planes. Very rare to find true a master on physical plane. The only reason that they would come back to earth would be to be a wayshower and a teacher. Very seldom will a genuine master allow his degree of development to be known, because of one reason: they dislike personal idolatry. Most persons claiming to be masters are not.
Love Is Your Best Gift
728-2 Sunday 02/15/1981
Reverend Newhouse gives examples of how love can transform lives. She explains how giving love is the highest gift one can give to another as our Lord Christ showed us. Of all things a dedicated Christian is one who loves. To the great Masters of mankind, three qualities are requisite in their pupils and disciples. These qualities are first reverence, then comes love, and thirdly the Masters and Lords require that their pupils and disciples have integrity, active integrity at all times.
What Each of Us Needs to Contribute to His Own Healing
740-1 Sunday 07/26/1981
In this talk the Reverend Flower Newhouse explains that only Masters have complete command of Their bodies, and that illness comes to us when we allow a separation to come between us and our Souls or Higher Selves. She urges us to fill ourselves with humility, teachableness and surrender with the willingness to learn the way to health. She advises us to let our Soul be our director, healer, advisor and teacher and to never give ourselves credit for our healing which belongs to God who made us. Flower encourages exercise, following your doctor's advice, and never feeling guilty about being ill. It is our responsibility to admit that something is wrong, to go to a doctor and to surrender ourselves to God's care. Followed by Questions and Answers.
The Hierarchy of Perfected Souls: The Masters
756-2 Sunday 03/14/1982
A Master someone who is a genius in intellect, and a redeemer in character. It is a person, man or woman, who has come to complete self-control of the lower bodies. There is no area in which they haven't command. Gone from them is all the testers of our humanity. They haven't any of the conceit qualities or temptation or selfishness in them. They are completely free of these qualities. There are about 300 Masters in the Hierarchy. The work that they are responsible for is tremendous, and they are in themselves tremendous. They make us realize that the same responsibility lies within us, to achieve what they have in Christ's name.
The Reality of Masters
782-1 Sunday 03/13/1983
Masters are far older than we are, in soul growth. They started their evolutionary journey before we did, and therefore they have achieved mastership. They are very close to humanity, their attention is never withdrawn from our planet. They tell us to watch the little things, it will be the little things that will trip you and delay your achievement of masterhood. Flower describes Masters, what they do, how they look and act, and their friendships with one another. They have divine creative humility, but are also very self-assured. They appear in age as that they liked best when they went through their incarnations on earth. Followed by questions and answers.
Gratitude Is the Measure of Our Development
800-1 Sunday 11/20/1983
The Christ and the Masters are always on the watch for persons who possess certain qualities, including gratitude. The Higher Ones say that next to the lack of reverence, there is a lack of appreciation in men. The more grateful you are for the good you have and have experienced, the happier your are and the more prosperous. We should be grateful for the good that comes from testing and for large and small blessings. The Higher Ones evaluate us according to our openness, according to the sincerity with which we give, and according to the fact that we let go and give.
The Hierarchy and Questions and Answers
869-1 Sunday 07/13/1986
This talk begins with a brief opening stressing the importance of our awareness of the Divine Hierarchy, then follows with a series of questions on a variety of topics asked by the congregation and answered by Rev. Newhouse.
