Entering the Light - Lesson 7

Are you starting to realize that it is through Christ that you can best know God?

Take a moment now and reflect on your work of lifting individuals up to Christ - visualizing the Christ in others.

This might be one you want to use every now and again when you want to see the highest in another. It is important to always ask yourself - am I able to love this one? If there is hesitation, you must work on healing this relationship.

In lesson 5, you read an article of Flower on the Christ Way. In the fifth paragraph she suggests three themes for your meditations. Reread that paragraph below:

We can achieve this life only if we are aware and observant of its fundamentals. The road by which we travel from ourselves as we are to the realization of Christhood is called The Way of Overcoming. The travelers upon this path are ever mindful of the purpose of their journey. As we travel we meditate one-pointedly upon the Christ Pattern, the Christ Goal, and the Daily Training.

Note the three aspects of attunement that Flower suggests - Christ's Pattern, Christ's Goal and Daily Training. In this lesson you will explore Christ's pattern.

Christ's Pattern

"Our efforts toward Christship are summarized in the Lord Jesus, so it is expedient for us to associate ourselves with His matchless Spirit. He signifies the Pattern of our own becoming, therefore to this emblem of Godliness must we frequently direct our thoughts. This inward unity with His sovereignty aligns us with His power, His will and His benediction."

What is the esoteric interpretation of the second coming of Christ?

This would refer to the Christ drawing closer to awaken men everywhere. It would also indicate the realization of His importance and leadership for all the persons of earth. In other words, the second coming is a spiritual dawning upon total mankind of the greatness of the Christ Hierarch. He is not expected to be re-embodied physically; rather, He will enter all hearts and minds throughout our globe. (P. 34, II)

About Flower A. Newhouse

The life and writings of Flower A. Newhouse are those of a Christian mystic, and her insights into the inner realms of life provide us with a path to wholeness that she called "Living the Life."
