"When one has the spirit of thanksgiving, and works at it every day, through the eyes,
soul meets soul, the giver and recipient are blessed."
"There are so many ways of saying thank you to life, to God, and to one another. These expressions need to be fresh, vital, and heart-given. When they are that, they are a blessing. Unless our thoughts and words can genuinely express appreciation, there is no life in us and our expressions are flat. Individuals who possess clairvoyance can tell the stage of development of an individual by the way he says thank you and lives in gratitude.
When one says thank you from the sense of duty, his aura will be absent of color; an individual possessed of inner perception recognizes that this person has no feeling and it's just surface words that are being said."
"When we give formal thanks to an usher in a theater, to someone who has opened a
door for us, or to anyone who has done a favor, our formal thanks goes out to that one
in thought forms that look like little strips of paper, quite meaningless and nondescript
in appearance and of neutral colors. But if we say, "Thank You" with all our hearts, for
some simple or some major token of giving, and we smile and mean it from every part
of our being, then from us goes up a cloud of glory, orchid in color."
"When we are grateful, there is in our auras, and in our seven-fold being, a circulation
going on constantly which unites us with the divine. In those times when we are highly
filled with thanksgiving, we touch the very realm of the consciousness of heaven itself."
-Flower A. Newhouse, Collected Works, Volume I
Have you ever experienced a greater closeness with a person because you have appreciated them?
Have you ever noticed objects like your car or computer functioning better because of your gratitude toward them?
Let us use these thoughts of Flower to open up the door of our appreciation for God as we continue to practice M7. I have found it incredibly important to come to this attunement before every prayer I offer. Pausing before addressing God and sending my love and appreciation, opens the channels to Divinity's shores. It has made my prayers which follow much more meaningful and effective.

Focus your gratitude to God around these three attributes that Flower introduced (Look
to see evidence of these aspects all around you as you walk - say to your self, Oh how mighty
thou art God!):
Record your impressions. |
Continue to practice M7. Work on your visualizations (picturing what that aspect of God looks like to you) as you connect with God. We will be expanding this attunement into a whole new meditation in the next lesson.
Peace to you today and the light of strong and spiritually-intentioned purposes.
Questions and answers with Flower A. Newhouse (excerpted from Here Are Your Answers, Volumes I, II and III)
![]() | What does the spiritual life have in store for us as we progress? |
![]() | God designed us so that we would each eventually return to full God Consciousness. It is important through this conception of spiritual evolvement that we expect to be better people this year than we were last year, and to be even more improved in the years ahead. Each of us has a spark of God, which should gradually grow in strength and influence until we are in complete oneness with God. This happens when we each actively seek our individual paths to express and approach divinity. When the Soul is eventually reabsorbed into Divine Essence, which is God, one has come through the entire spiral path to perfection. |

The life and writings of Flower A. Newhouse are those of a Christian mystic, and her insights into the inner realms of life provide us with a path to wholeness that she called "Living the Life." These teachings are not doctrine, but a practical guide to the direct, immediate experience of God. Flower's mission was also to reawaken humanity to the reality of angels, a work she began with her first book in 1937, and added to in many published writings and in recorded lectures.
