Lord Christ
Jesus of Nazareth, known as our Lord Emmanuel–God with us–is a living presence. He is the only begotten son. No one else from our humanity is worthy of so high a calling. Our Lord had the power of excellence, that supreme ability to surrender himself and give to that which is higher. This excellence, developed through a tremendous cost of self-sacrifice and overcoming, qualified our Lord to become the Christ Officiant of our planet.
Who Our Lord Christ Is
Our Lord Christ is Hierarch and the model of our own becoming. His service is the broadcasting of the Divine Light, the light of redemption. His influence awakens in us the Christing of our own natures. He is the example of what it means to think, feel, live, and aspire from the soul plane. This Prince of Peace has unlimited love, force and instruction with which to regenerate our civilization. The Lord Christ, as the beacon of this age, has jurisdiction over the spiritual evolution of all peoples, even those who do not revere him. Within his keeping are the keys for the development of this humanity, for he is the Hierarch of all religions in this world.
The Christ ideal is taught by every Adept, for that ideal stands for human brotherhood, human development, and human perfection. Were we to fully understand the revelations of the Spirit of Wisdom, the many religions and movements in the world would be seen to complement and fulfill one another. Through the widespread application of the Christ principles the world's unrest can be quieted and mastered.
The Christ constantly endeavored to teach everyone to remedy, transform, recreate, and master himself. He spoke out of the ancient archives of wisdom that have nurtured Him in long seasons past. He spoke as every great soul who achieved masterhood speaks, and will speak. That evolution is working on us, chiseling and refining us, bringing all its tools of experience to bear on us.
Flower A. Newhouse, The Path of the Masters
Your highest tribute to the Lord Christ is a worship of His Spirit through the living of His Spirit. Think His thoughts, be reverent before the fountain of His reality, for then you will realize His love and His pleasure throughout your whole being.
Flower A. Newhouse, Here Are Your Answers, Vol III
Disciples of the living Christ apply the laws of evolution to their own inner selves. They strive to think purely, to act helpfully, to live with faith, to worship God ever more deeply, and to apply themselves creatively in the application of spiritual truths to daily life. All this involves a maturing process that develops the best that lies in men.
Flower A. Newhouse, The Quest
Without the birth and the teachings of this mighty Hierarch, we would not know ennoblement and refinement of character. Without Him there would be no higher business ethic, no better form of living standards.
Flower A. Newhouse, Christ: The Great Hierarch
When we prepare the way of the Lord and rightly achieve a receptivity, an openness, a listening, an inner obedience, and a great desire for Him, we are conscious of the fact that there is a movement all around us of the same type of attitude, the same enlargement of spirit that is awaiting His coming throughout the whole globe. We are part of this mystery, which is upon us. It opens us, it purifies us, it gives us a foretaste of glory.
Flower A. Newhouse, Christmas in the Year 1961
Christmas is a time to adore the living Christ, the Hierarch to whom we are all pledged, who is the highest initiate that mankind has produced. We owe Him a great debt, for He is the archetypal man. He is the model of our own becoming; He taught that as He was, so would we be in following the way He led us.
Flower A. Newhouse, Christmas is an Initiatory Reminder
He (the Christ) loves us each one so greatly, and His love is universal. It applies to those who are not Christian, just as much as those who are, and that will be forever true. His love, like the love a parent gives a child, can look beyond the rebellion, the disrespect, egotism, whatever is present, to those moments when we yield to the great blessing within us.
Flower A. Newhouse, Christ's Contribution to the Preciousness of Life
Christian Mysticism is simply a method of reverence and devotion to God. It is a path of attainment which leads to the Divine Reality–to first-hand knowing of God. The mystical path stresses the way of Divine union with God through illumination.
The Living Christ is the Lord of Angels and of men and the model of our own becoming. His service is the broadcasting of the Divine Christ Spirit, the light of redemption. His influence awakens in us the Christing of our own natures.
The Way of Discipleship is a way of drawing ever closer to the Divine Presence. It is a voluntary surrender of the entire self to the service of God. It pays great attention to spiritual realities and goals inspiring us toward inner growth.
Meditation and Prayer are the disciplines that most directly draw us Godward and into the inner worlds. During these moments, we consciously purify ourselves of worldly or personal preoccupations and center ourselves wholly upon consciousness of God.
The Angelic Kingdom consists of beings created by God. They, like mankind, press toward the goal of perfection and union with the Supreme Spirit. Angels are purer and more spiritual than man. Their very spirituality readily makes them mediators between Heaven and Earth.
Nature provides healing and enlightenment. When wisely trod, the path to God through nature employs every faculty inherent in man. In nature, beauty shines in all its pristine essence before us. It is for us to newly discover and translate this beauty to our spirits and our senses.
Reincarnation is the realization that life is a school, striving to awaken and quicken the Divinity within us, striving to bring man from primitive stages of unfoldment to that of greater and more glorious awareness.
