Self-control - exercising restraint over ones own impulses, emotions, or desires - does not come to humans easily or automatically. As we evolve, it is up to each of us to leave behind the self-indulgences of our youthful souls and lift our desires Godward. Our willingness to let go of our resistance to knowing and acknowledging both our strengths and weaknesses, and to seeing ourselves as we really are, brings self-control ever closer. In this way, we open up a pathway to creating conscious solutions to our problems and to letting our true love and beauty shine through.

''And God said, ‘Let there be light,' and there was light.'' Without God's light there would be no life on earth. As primal light passes from the sun through the ethers to earth, colors are produced at varying rates of vibration. These wave lengths of radiant color energy, visible and invisible, affect our mood, our energy level and our well-being. Each color has its own influence on our lives. The auras which surround our bodies absorb white light energy and split it into the various color energies which flow to the different chakras (energy centers) of our body and vitalize them. Each chakra relates to its own color. When they are in balance, we display all the colors of the rainbow.
