In June of 1779, near his headquarters on the Hudson River, General George Washington's private prayer was recorded. ''And now, Almighty Father, if it is Thy holy will that we shall obtain a place and name among the nations of the earth, grant that we may be enobled to show our gratitude for Thy goodness by our endeavors to obey Thee... Not my will, but Thine be done.'' Our country began with this prayer. It came into being with a purpose and mission very much like our souls did when we came into incarnation. As a human, our spiritual path calls us to conquer self and to align our whole being with God. It is no different for our country and world. Let us continue this prayer as we work to understand the inner teachings that enfold America and our earth.

How often do we get sidetracked in life from the reality of God's active Presence? Why we are here? What do we need to be working on for true spiritual growth? Often times, we busy ourselves by looking for success at work or by finding personal recognition in our endeavors. We find, however, that these do not fill our life's purpose. Something is still lacking. Flower A. Newhouse says, ''The only way we can have real happiness, enlightenment, is to come to a place where we do touch the Resources of Spirit. Until we can bring ourselves into that attunement, in quietness and reverence, we have missed the purpose of life and the significance of our Lord's great transcendental message.'' Each of us must develop a greater acquaintance with God. We must become more aware of the ever-flowing powers that can be tapped deep within ourselves. And God has given us great help in this effort. Countless angelic hosts on the inner, work with us to lift our attention heavenward. They work to clear our consciousness and instill Divine seeds that have the potential to transform and lift us toward wholeness. The more we think of them, the more available and readily their attention is given to us. As we walk forward in life a new, may we have a greater awareness to these glorious hosts that serve Christ so devotedly. May we bathe in the knowing that we truly stand in the midst of angels.

Back on August 15, 1950, Flower A. Newhouse began a wonderful connection with the Master Gamaliel whom was soon to become the Father Master of this ministry. There were other Master's who came as will to teach Flower and those who were present greater ways of attunement and living. Their wisdom and love have been captured in Flower's teachings. They offer us a joyous opportunity: To grow closer to God revealing Christ's likeness in us. As we spiritually train ourselves, we must be open and awake for we are not alone. We are taking a grand walk and soulic journey with Great Ones who have walked on before us. Let us learn from their purity and clear connection with God.

So much has been made of the Star Wars films, but truly their connection in mythology parallels our true spiritual journey. It is a lesson in perfecting ourselves. To train our beings to use the Force like the mythical master Yoda taught. So you see, we all have a Jedi Knight within us that through sincere discipleship works devotedly for the Force of God to bring more light in the world. May the Force always be with you.

How thankful are we for the challenges that come our way in life? The very testings that try us are guiding and working with us to lift us forward in our spiritual journeys. Instead of meeting them with apprehension and dread, we must be thankful for the movements they teach us in our spiritual dance. In the wonder of God's greatness and unending insight into our every step, we receive his molding of our soul. We do give thanks!

As we partake in gossip and rumors, we entangle the spiritual growth of our soul. Often we don't spiritually awake to our practice of gossip until we are already in the middle of it. We need to start realizing when we are getting sucked in. When we are participating with it and what our role is. The damage that comes from our carelessness causes great harm. It is time we untangle the weight of rumors and gossip in our life.

We are physical beings on an earthly journey. But we also are spiritual beings on a holy quest. Becoming aware of our whole being requires us to take a journey inward to discover God's truth for us. As we become aware of God, doors around us will open. The Way will be made clear. God's dwelling place will be made holy within us. The physical and spiritual made whole. Let God's Light shine bright within us.

The phrase ''finish strong'' applies to so many aspects of our life. It requires us to continue moving onward in our spiritual journey whether we are tested, weary, or complacent. That no matter where we stand in our walk, we rise above our littleness to find Christ's image rising in our beings. This is the lesson of Easter. This is the journey of lent. May it be with us throughout the year as we garner divine energy and strength to always finish strong.
